UK GDPR Representative service
If you sell into the UK but have no ‘establishment’ here, the UK GDPR may require you to appoint a UK-based representative.
This applies to both controllers and processors based anywhere outside the UK, including those in the EU.
The UK GDPR representative has a much narrower role than a DPO. A UK representative provides data subjects and the ICO with a UK-based first point of contact for data protection queries.
Here’s how the service works:
- We set up a dedicated email address
- You put the details in your privacy notice
- UK data subjects and the ICO can contact us with queries for you
- We forward the correspondence to you
- You respond directly or we can respond for you
